Shawnee High School Activity Registration

Playing Sports at Shawnee High School:

Step 1 of 3:  Parents/Guardians must register the student here on this Rschooltoday portal.

Rschooltoday (you are here!) is the web portal which is used to collect student information, and where you will indicate which team you want to join.  On this rschooltoday portal, parents and/or guardians will also electronically sign the forms and paperwork which are required by the Lenape Regional High School District and the State of New Jersey for student participation in athletics.

Directions:  Scroll to the bottom of this page under the "Ready to Begin?" section and click "New Users/Create an Account."  Enter all the required information.  You will be emailed a confirmation notice after creating an account, which you will have to click through and accept.   After that step, return to the bottom of this page and click "Returning Users-Login Here."  Click the word "Register" after you have logged in - you will then be able to choose a sport and complete the registration for your athlete in this portal.  *Genesis Student ID numbers are NOT required for registration - please skip the field asking for your student ID if you do not yet have that information.

Please note:  Parents and/or guardians must re-register their child for every season and every sport in which they want to play.

Step 2 of 3:  Submit Activity Fee Payment

The LRHSD Board of Education will continue to assess an Athletic and Extracurricular Activity Participation Fee for the current school year. The annual fee will be assessed to every student who participates in at least one athletic or extracurricular activity that requires a Board of Education paid coach or advisor.

The fee will be assessed once per school year at a rate established by the Board of Education, which for the current school year will be $200 per student, with a maximum family cap of $400 per family. Each student must submit the Athletic and Extracurricular Activity Participation Fee payment prior to the participation (including tryouts) in the activity. The fee is valid for that school year only.   Payments can be made by personal check or electronically via our payment portal at https://lrhsd.schoolcashonline.com/

The fee is non-refundable unless the student is cut from the athletic/activity roster and did not participate in any other athletic/extracurricular activities for the remainder of the school year. A refund request form must be completed and submitted by June of that year or the fee will be forfeited.  Forms are available in the high school main office.  Refunds will be issued over the summer, after all of the student's obligations have been fulfilled. Any outstanding student obligations will be deducted from the refund at that time. Students who voluntarily drop out of an activity will forfeit their fee.

Payment of the Athletic and Extracurricular Activity Participation Fee does not guarantee position, role, or playing time. It does not guarantee the student or his/her parent, guardian or family control over any conditions, guidelines or policies regarding the team or activities.

Financial Hardship:  No student will be denied the opportunity for an educational experience due to financial hardship.  Students who qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program are exempt from paying the Athletic and Extracurricular Activity Participation Fee.

Step 3 of 3:  Submit Your Child's Physical Paperwork

All student athletes must submit either proof of a yearly physical exam, or a health history update, prior to the start of the playing season.  Physical exams are valid for one year only.  Please read below for assistance in determining which form you will need to submit:

If your child's last exam is dated more than 365 days from the first day of practice for the sport which he or she wishes to play, then your child will need to have an updated physical exam and have the following form completed by his or her physician.**  Please click the link below to access the Pre-participation Physical Evaluation Form.  The link will open to a third party website.

If your child has a valid yearly exam on file, but the exam is dated more than 90 days from the first day of practice for the sport which he or she wishes to play, then you (as the parent/guardian,) must complete the Health History Update questionnare.  Please click the link below to access the Health History Update Questionnaire.  The link will open to a third party website.

What are the due dates to submit my child's physical paperwork?

Physicals are due one week prior to the first official day of practice.

Where does my child drop off the physical paperwork?

All paperwork should be dropped off in the main office of Shawnee High School.  The Athletic Trainer has a dedicated mail bin located on the counter area in the main office.  Paperwork should be left in the bottom bin, and the person dropping off the paperwork should also sign and date the clipboard which is next to the Athletic Trainer's bin.

**State Regulation:

The physical examination MUST be completed by a health care provider who has completed the Student Athlete Cardiac Assessment Professional Development Module.
